Training March 11, 2017 1pm-3pm at DeKalb County Fire Rescue Headquarters
This is the best training opportunity we have for ARES all year and also great fun. All members are encouraged to join in.
This will be the 11th running of the event and the second year the Atlanta Track Club (ATC) is organizing the event. ARES has been involved every year and has committed once again to helping provide a safe environment for the runners, spectators, and volunteers by providing a reliable communication network. This is a big event over 25 miles, of course, several public safety jurisdictions, thousands of participants all with lots of moving parts. There are over 60 ham radio positions to fill: we need your help!

Every Sunday night at 8pm local time, the DeKalb ARES Practice Net meets on the 145.45(-) repeater of the Alford Memorial Radio Club.
The repeater does not currently use a PL tone, but we will be putting a tone of 107.2 on it the next time we update the station. Please go ahead and set your radios now so you will be able to contact the repeater after we update it.
This net is open to anyone interested in amateur radio emergency communication and you don't need to be a member of DeKalb County ARES to participate.
Every week we have a different operator running the net. You can find a schedule showing who is scheduled to operate the net in the "Net Operations" page of this website.
The repeater operates on the frequency of 145.450 MHz with a minus(-) offset and PL tone of 107.2Hz.
If you are interested in emergency communications, feel free to attend any meeting. No advance registration is needed.
We normally meet at the Fire Rescue Headquarters.
